The date inscribed on the stone is 410 Hijrah (1028 AD). Besides the Qur’anic inscriptions and Arabic syair on it, the date of demise of the unknown person, Wednesday, 14 Rabiulawal 419H can be seen. Evidently, this gravestone is far older than the Inscribed Stone of Terengganu (702H), gold coins (dinar) of Kelantan (577H), and 300 years earlier than when the Melaka Sultanate came into existence.

The Copper Pail

The year 707 Hijrah (1308 AD) is inscribed on the copper pail. The worn sides of the artefact proves that it was a well bucket used to carry water, most probably at a mosque associated with the advent of Islam in Pahang. The discovery of this pail is proof that a more elaborate settlement of Muslims had already existed in Pahang.
